Dr. Parker Abbott has been a Licensing Associate with the UIRF since the Fall of 2026 after completing the postdoctoral training program. He received his PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa, where his graduate work focused on understanding the brain circuitry of cerebellar stimulation and the cerebellum’s relationship with the prefrontal cortex. This research furthered his interest in identifying and understanding novel therapeutics and treatments for neuropsychiatric disease. Before moving to Iowa for his graduate work, he received a BS in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
