Biography
Dr. Parker Abbott is a postdoctoral scholar with the UIRF and started in 2024. He received his PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa. His graduate work focused on understanding the brain circuitry of cerebellar stimulation, with an emphasis on the cerebellum’s relationship with the prefrontal cortex. This research furthered his interest in novel therapeutics and treatments for neuropsychiatric disease and understanding how they are developed. Before moving to Iowa for his graduate work, he received a BS in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
