Dr. Abbey Schnell joined the UIRF as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar in 2022. Prior to joining the UIRF, Abbey served as the Vice President of Internal Operations with the BALSA Group, a graduate student-run organization that provides consulting services to entrepreneurs and startups in the St. Louis area. Abbey earned her PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology from Saint Louis University. Her graduate research focused on peptide hormone signaling in appetite regulation and the stress response. Abbey also completed a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Hope College.
